HOW TO SHIP!!!
Use only boxes in
very good condition to ship documents. The box is going to take a
beating, so it needs to be sturdy to start with. DBX has received
documents in broken boxes with tire tracks on them before! Also, as
boxes get pounded, they don’t hold the documents in place very well

GAS
IS GOING UP!!!
HERE
WE GO AGAIN. The cost of oil is at an all time high and the gas
stations are gearing up to catch up. That means we should start to
see the gas prices inch up and up over the next couple of weeks.
PERFECT! Just in time for the holiday season so we can spend more at
the gas pumps. Now if you’re a business owner, you understand what
it does to your bottom line. Your costs are going up to heat your
office, drive to work, delivery of products, and your own internal
transportation costs. What does this have to do with Records
Management you ask? Plenty.
If
your one of the business that have a company storing your documents
or you have documents stored offsite somewhere, and you frequently
visit those files to get information, the costs are going up.
Transportation costs will have to go up to meet those demands. These
costs are one of the reasons to start looking into your records
management practices and figure a way on reducing that burdensome
expenditure.
